  • Q: What should I wear for horseback riding?

    • A: Dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate layers and closed-toe shoes (sandals are not allowed). Heavy riding boots are unnecessary as our stirrups accommodate standard shoes. Bring warm layers for chilly nights, a lightweight rain jacket, a sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

  • Q: Is there any extra gear I should bring?

    • A: Pack a reusable water bottle, personal medications, and a portable power bank or extra batteries for your camera.

 

Rider Fitness & Experience

  • Q: Do I need prior riding experience?

    • A: No. We provide an introductory lesson to teach you trail safety. However, you must be comfortable navigating diverse terrain and spending long hours in the saddle.

  • Q: What are the physical fitness and weight limits?

    • A: This trek accommodates all fitness levels. For rider and horse safety, there is a strict weight limit of 120 kg (260 lbs).

  • Q: Can children participate in the trek?

    • A: Yes, children aged 9 and older are welcome. All minors (ages 9–17) must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Horse Safety & Care

  • Q: What kind of horses will we be riding?

    • A: You will ride well-trained, calm, and friendly native Mongolian horses. They are highly experienced trail horses and exceptionally skilled at navigating mountain paths.

  • Q: How should I approach the horses?

    • A: Always approach them from the left side. Mongolian horses are traditionally trained and accustomed to people handling them from this side only.
